Baboon Matters is always appreciative of any financial help to cover the following expenses:

Manpower - R8 100
The baboon monitors help to keep the baboons out of villages.  In addtion to reducing conflicts and further attacks on baboons, we will be training future monitors and adding to our very limited pool of experienced monitors - this is absolutely essential!

Uniforms for the Monitors - R5400
The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) have been fantastic and have supplied rain gear, warm jackets and wellies for the guys, but we still need to get the monitors into clearly identifiable uniforms suitable for all weather conditions.

Double Page Advert in the False Bay Echo - R7000
Two years ago we ran a very successful feature in the Echo - it helped hugely with fund-raising, education and overall awareness.  I think this type of expenditure is vital for the reasons stated above and it seems that the time is ripe to run another feature.

Actual costs - R5000
Baboon Matters would like to raise money to cover items such as cellphone costs, petrol and veterinary costs.  When we have emergencies, there is no additional budget at all, yet petrol costs, emergency cellphone calls and basic pathology investigation all need to be paid for.  The staff at Fourways Veterinary Clinic are wonderful and support the baboons fantastically.
